International expertise in retail property and shopping center management.


At the beginning of the 60’s, returning from a stay in the United States, the young entrepreneur Robert de Balkany noted how the Western consumer pattern had changed. He then brought back to France with him a new concept that was taking North America by storm: the shopping centre. In 1969 he opened France's first large regional shopping centre: Parly 2, in western Paris.

This new shopping centre was a complete success: architecturally, and also commercially and in terms of property development. SCC quickly replicated an adapted version of the concept in Ile de France as well as in large regional centres: Rosny 2, Vélizy 2, Evry 2, Les Ulis 2, Lyon Part-Dieu, Villeneuve 2, Rouen Saint-Sever, etc.
A new way of shopping was born in France, to the delight of thousands: those just out for a stroll, visitors and shoppers, thanks to a visionary: the founder of SCC.

SCC quickly developed its model in Europe and brought it to fruition by designing and commercialising 60 shopping sites in Spain, Italy, Belgium, etc. The concept was also exported to the Middle East: Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Bahrain.

SCC expanded its expertise and became proficient in more and more areas: development and operational management of shopping centres, real estate and rental management, commercialisation and transactions.

Today, SCC's positioning is also in the retail park segment and in that of high-end retail in Paris, with a market share of 70% via its subsidiary SCC Vendôme, in which the biggest names place their trust: Axa Real Estate, Amundi, Redevco, Hammerson, Corio, Immobilière Carrefour, CBRE Global investors, Codic and Crédit Agricole Immobilier.

On the back of 50 years as a pioneer, SCC develops new projects to rise to tomorrow’s challenges, in particular in terms of sustainable development and e-shopping, etc.
